If you would like to talk to with your church about Adopting the clinic for a day you can download and print the brochure by clicking here.

When you donate to Dream Ministries you can specify where you would like your money to go.  The options are:

  1. Dream Ministries
  2. The Good Samaritan Clinic.  The information on it is listed below.

The Good Samaritan Clinic in Batey 7 in the Dominican Republic is the main outreach program of the Volunteers in Medical Committee of the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church.  Beginning as a dream around 2000, the clinic has been fully functional and growing since 2002. Primarily serving the medical needs of an impoverished community of 1200 people situated in a rural area surrounded by sugar cane fields, the clinic now reaches out to surrounding communities.

Staffed with a full time physician and health care support staff, the clinic sees over 100 patients a week.  Each year, visiting mission teams supplement the efforts performing up to 300 much needed surgeries and providing outreach clinic visits there and in surrounding communities for several thousand other patients.

With the involvement of these volunteers other projects to improve the medical health of the community have included health education classes, the building of latrines and the provision of a new water purification system.  A commitment to improve the economic health of the community resulted in the building of an educational building. Sewing technical classes and a baking class will provide technical certificates accepted in area job markets as well as give skills students can use daily. Also, recent flooding by hurricanes yielded an outpouring of much needed disaster relief.

Please consider becoming part of the Adopt a Clinic Day Program.
A donation of $100 covers the daily clinic costs.

Dream Ministries also serves Batey 7 and the surrounding communities in a variety of ways. In addition to the clinic we have provided clean water, done construction projects, provided equipment, purchased vehicles and provide on going support in a number of other ways.

If you would like to contribute toward the support of Dream Ministries please complete the form below.  If you would like to sponsor the clinic for a day and want a particular day, indicate that also.

Currently we cannot accept online payments.  Checks will need to be made out to Covenant Church, 1526 Skeet Club Drive, High Point, NC 27263 and reference Dream Ministries
